Creative Social is an exciting dream project that's been in the works with Catherine Sanderson for some time now. We wanted a casual way to have a regular creative outlet, dabble in different arts, learn new things, and meet some fun people at the same time.
We hold classes like Acrylic Painting, Brush Lettering, Succulent Centerpieces and more. Check out the website at wearecreativesocial.com.

The Curve is a condo turned apartment complex with a complete overhaul of their facilities, including branding and signage. The Curve of the lettering is taken from the curve that the complex is located on. We really wanted to go with the natural, outdoor feel that compliments the apartments surrounding.

Global Media Outreach came to me with a large project due in only a few short weeks. These types of last minute projects are some of my favorites. I really enjoy a challenge and designing for 12+ hours a day definitely does that.
They requested a 570 page book to be designed and illustrated along with the cover. They didn't have a specific idea in mind for the cover so it was fun to have creative freedom. The book represents over 150 countries around the world and I thought featuring different building and landmarks from some of those countries around the world would be a great way to portray the diversity in this book.
WORK COMPLETED: Branding, Book layout and Design, Illustrations and Cover Design
CLIENT TESTIMONIAL: I asked Rachel Hostetler to help me with a writing project for a large Christian ministry that in the end was 600 pages of difficult cultural theory and information on 158 countries. I needed many visuals, graphs, photographs, and readable text to help make the information more intelligible for readers.
Rachel did a great job on all of these, far beyond what I was expecting. Her visual depictions were what I wanted, but were more visually engaging than I expected. She was easy to work with and completed the large project quickly, on time, and for a reasonable charge.
The ministry I work with was stunned by what they received due to the high quality of the work that Rachel did and the quality of text I contributed. They have agreed to completely modify their approach to ministry based on the collaborative work by Rachel and me. - Glenn G. Wood, M.D., M.P.H
This project was an emotional one. A few months ago, some friends of mine found out their baby boy, Jacob was diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma Cancer. Throughout this journey, I have been so blessed to see the strength, joy and faith of the Bolles family.
Please support lil Jacob and his family by going to Jacobsjourney.org and purchasing a shirt. 100% will go straight to the Bolles family and Jacob's medical care.
Words that kept coming up through out their branding process were strength and courage. We also talked about the journey and the fact that their faith in the Lord was a guide through it. A compass was the perfect picture of this journey and it is pointed at 190 degrees to reflect Joshua 1:9.
WORK COMPLETED: Branding, Web Design, T-Shirt Design
This project is an apartment complex located in Pittsburgh. I was given a logo that had already been approved but it needed a little work. The lowest image is what the client passed on to me. I cleaned it up a little bit, extended the T and the N and changed the font for the word Apartments. This design was a play on the word Terrain using a topographical map as a subtle texture.
WORK COMPLETED: Logo Design
Work In Progress: Signage
Love working with fellow creatives and have been able to work a lot lately with cinematographers/directors, etc and let me tell you - this is a whole other world. Lee had a vision for the Cut to Black site and it was a fun challenge to make that happen for his team.
CLIENT TESTIMONIAL: Rachel is absolutely fantastic to work with. She’s incredibly quick, has great design skills and is really amazing at finding great solutions for complex needs. She heard our needs and what we wanted visitors to experience on our site and she had some really cool ideas on how to accomplish it. Loved working with her and we’ll do it again for our next website. - Lee Rothenflue, Cut to Black
This website was a bit of a challenge. After a few issues in the beginning and figuring out what on earth MLS and IDX meant, I am so excited to share Wood Real Estate Group! I love this mix between professional and personal. This is a company that really loves people and wants to help people buy or sell a home. Check it out at WoodREGroup.com.
WORK COMPLETED: Branding, Web Design, Collateral Design
There are some people you meet that you are just THRILLED to work with... Lady D with Black Petal Floral Design has been a joy to work with since day one!
This project definitely taught me a lot about simplicity. I love all things minimalist but I tend to add more than necessary. I kept adding more and more to figure out what it was "missing" but the issue ended up being too much. So we stripped it down to the basics and kept it simple and straightforward. Her floral arrangements are just stunning and they really speak for themselves on her site.
Excited about Phase 2 when we launch her online Shop!

I have known Jim for a few years now and worked with Jim on a few projects a while back so working on his new website was an honor. Jim's work really speaks for itself so we wanted to highlight that and keep all the other details as minimal and simple as possible. A priority was that his work and his portfolio was uninterrupted by clutter and distraction. Check it out at JimFlores.com.

Loved working with Stouthaus on some print design. The owner, James is a talented graphic designer who created the branding for the company - they got so busy, he needed help with print materials which I was happy to help out with. The main goal with designing print materials was to keep it cohesive with the already established brand. Stouthaus is now my go-to for business meetings or my outdoor office!

Everygirl Skincare is one of those businesses that I can really get excited about. Deb was a dreamer who wanted to start her business and follow her dream.
We started off with her color palette and branding. We decided to go with a soft, feminine color palette and a simple, modern logo to go with it. She will work with men, but she specializes with women and really wanted to get that across with the look and feel of her branding.
Next we had a fun photoshoot to capture the space, the products and one of her clients receiving treatment. The goal was to capture the light, airy, spa-like feel of the space and her services.
WORK COMPLETED: Branding, Logo, Photography & Web Elements
CLIENT TESTIMONIAL: I've had so many compliments on the logo Rachel designed for my business. Loved her ideas and how everything came out! - Deborah Routt, Owner Everygirl Skincare
Ridge Counseling is a ministry that works with Austin Ridge Bible Church offering counseling services. Though they work with the church, they really wanted to expand beyond the church walls and serve the community as well so providing separate branding was very important. In our initial consultation, they said they wanted to have an "Austin" feel and use bright colors and a mid century design.
New Bridge functions by creating a life-changing model of spiritual growth that launches a wave of dynamic Christ followers from Community First! and beyond. For those of you that haven't heard of Community First!, its a community providing affordable, sustainable housing and a supportive community for the disabled and chronically homeless. It has been such an incredible honor to work with these two ministries on this project.
We designed and implemented this website in less than two weeks! We also needed to design and launch the site before branding was completed which was an additional challenge, but it all came together in the end and on time. I really can't wait to see what continues to unfold with these two incredible ministries and I am blessed just to be a part of it.

Carousel Pediatrics is an Austin-based business that is committed to offering healthcare to every child in Austin. I worked at Carousel Pediatrics for a few years as their Graphic Designer then Art Director. Working with Carousel is what showed me my true love for graphic design. I came on board shortly after the branding had been completed so I was given the task of applying branding to every aspect of the company. We did interior signage for their 10+ locations as well as everything from sticker design to 10ft X 30ft window graphics.

Red Oak Ministries is an incredible industry bringing hope to women trapped in the sex industry. They have saved dozens of women and children from a life of sex trafficking and back home to their families.
Of course I was completely on board when they asked me to help them design their logo and website. The main goal was to portray hope through their branding while appealing to female audiences. They already had a logo starting out so I took elements from that logo (the oak tree, the girl with the lantern) and modernized and vectorized it.
The t-shirt was designed to be sold at their annual Red Oak Gala and we wanted it to be more than just a logo on a shirt.
