On this page you will find:
We need to start gathering inspiration and set up your brand board.
Your Homework: Steps 1, 2 & fill out the branding questionnaire
This is the easy part (for you).
Sit back and wait for your designs!
We will design:
Final Brand Board
Your Homework: Step 3
FEEDBACK & FINAL
We will send you one element at a time. And would like your prompt feedback. You will receive 4 logo options to choose from. We will then put together the final brand board with secondary logos, marks, patterns, etc.
For each item you get 2 revisions.
Once everything is approved, we will export all the final files into jpegs, pngs and eps files.
Your Homework: Step 4 & 5
This is not required but it will help speed up the process and give me a general idea of your taste and how you want your final website to look. You have a few options with gathering inspiration: Pinterest, Canva, Photoshop, magazine clippings or just throw everything into a folder on our shared dropbox folder.
A few tips on building your inspiration:
What to collect: Textures, patterns, layouts, fonts, images and graphics that represent the vibe you envision for your brand.
Have a consistant color scheme.
Don't have more than 30 images on your board.
Refine your board. You can start with dozens of images you like but refine until you get your board exactly how you want it. If the board isn't perfect, what is missing? What needs to change? (more color, different fonts)
For your project, you will receive a link to your own personalized client page. This will be the place where you can keep track of where we are in the process, what is next and will be a great go-to place months down the road when you need a file or a hex code.
I will email you with a link and password to your client page. Feel free to request a custom password.
We will have an updated project phase reminder so you know where we are in the process
Whenever a new design is ready for your review, it will be uploaded onto your client page for your approval. Any changes will be uploaded here as well.
Once a design is ready to go, we will have a link to download your final files any time you need them.
Down the road
Your project page will stay up indefinitely. This is a great resource to have access to your logo files, any collateral files, as well as links to the suggested fonts and color hex codes. This is a great resource and will come in handy down the road!
Feedback is one of the most important steps in the process. Heres some additional feedback tips:
Your designer does this for a living. They have tough skin, I promise. If you don't like something or don't like a direction we are going, speak up! It is better to redirect things now than when we are almost done with your project. This is all a process. We start in one place and tweak it until we get your PERFECT brand.
When we send you a design, we have to sit and wait until you send us feedback. We cannot move forward in the next piece of the design until this one is approved. Every day you delay in getting back to us, it pushes the whole project back. Sometimes you may need a day or two to think through it and that is perfectly fine, just communicate with us that you received the design and need to mull it over.
Ask for Opinions
The important part here is to ask the right people. Don't ask 20 people what they think. Just don't. Everyone has an opinion and its rare when that many people agree on anything. Talk to someone you trust, someone who has a good design eye and someone who understands your ideal client. Feedback from someone who has been there is so much more valuable than a random family member that doesn't know design and doesn't know your business.
When your project is completed and we get your final OK, we will export all of your logos, secondary logos, icons, patterns, etc. You will receive pastor files for web and vector files for print. PNGs will be transparent. These will be uploaded onto your client page and can be downloaded (and re downloaded) at any time.
*You will not receive the design files. If you would like them, those are an extra charge.
