Each brand design project takes approximately 4 weeks and web projects take 6+ weeks. All times are dependent on client response time, revisions and our current booking schedule.
Before anything can get started, please fill out the branding questionnaire. It is a fairly intensive questionnaire but it will help both parties have a better understanding of the business, vision and goals.
We will then set up a phone call, video call or in person meet up. This will help us get to know each other and make sure we are a good fit.
Don't worry, it's fun homework. Create a detailed Pinterest board with any images, graphics, colors & typography that define you and your company. You can pin any website designs, business cards or other media that you like as well. In comments, please write what you like and what you dislike about each piece if it applies. Then share it with us!
We will then put together a full quote based on your project. If everything is approved, just sign, scan and send the agreement back. A deposit payment is required to hold your spot in our queue. The amount will be on your project agreement. Scheduling is on a "first deposit, first serve" basis.
With the branding questionnaire and your pinterest board, I will put together your color palette and inspiration board to make sure I'm headed in the right direction. Once approved, you will receive your first logo variations to review and are give then change to make adjustments up to 2 times to make sure it is perfect. Once that is finalized, I will put together a full branding board so you can see the entire design come together.
Once everything is approved by you, the final files will be prepped. At this point any print or digital media design will be completed (business card, letterhead, notecards, social media designs). We will send over the final invoice for the design and any additional charges. Once payment is received, we will send over a dropbox link for all of your logo and print files.
Now that branding is established (or if you already have branding) we can get started on your website. If we haven't already had an initial consultation, we will set up a phone call, video call or meet in person. Fill out the website questionnaire before our meeting.
Communication is key. We use Basecamp to organize files, assign tasks and timelines. We will set up a new project and assign any to-do’s to the primary contact for this project. Please let us know any additional people to include. All communication should go through Basecamp from this point on! This way everyone is on the same page. If you need any help navigating Basecamp, they have great tutorials at basecamp.com/help.
Once content and downpayment are received, we will begin your website design mock up. We will provide one mock up based on the looks and design we think will best fit your company. If it is not what you had in mind, we will do up to two additional mock ups.
We will then put together a full quote based on your project. If everything is approved, just sign, scan and send the agreement back. A deposit payment is required to hold your spot in our queue. The amount will be on your project agreement Scheduling is on a "first come first serve" basis.
All content is required and needs to be finalized BEFORE starting design*. It is difficult to design a website with no content to base it around. All gallery/portfolio images need to be sized accordingly (max 1500px wide).
If you need a copywriter to help with proofing, or help with graphics/photos please let me know!
When the mock has been approved and all content received, we will begin designing your site! During this step, it is important you respond to emails quickly and accomplish your tasks designated on Basecamp on time.
Depending on how we decide to sent up your site, it may take a day or two for your website to be live. If you have an old site we are replacing, it is a good idea to launch during slower traffic times.
*If content is not ready prior to test site, project will be delayed and launch will be pushed back.
